My client, a long‐established and highly respected property services provider within the social housing sector, is expanding its Bid Team and seeking experienced Bid Writers to support continued growth. Operating for over three decades, my client delivers a wide range of services to local authorities and housing associations, including responsive repairs, planned maintenance, voids, refurbishment, compliance, and decarbonisation/retrofit programmes. They are known for their strong values, community focus, and consistent delivery across large, complex housing portfolios.
Requirements
- Proven Bid Writing experience within social housing, construction, property services, or FM
- Strong writing, research, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and produce compelling, compliant tender submissions
- Sector knowledge relevant to one of the specialist roles (Reactive, Decarbonisation, Planned/Void)
Role Overview
You will lead and support bids for responsive repairs and maintenance contracts, working closely with operational teams to articulate my client’s approach to high-volume, resident-focused repairs.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce high-quality written responses for reactive maintenance tenders
- Interpret client specifications, KPIs, and service requirements
Essential Experience
- Bid writing experience in reactive repairs, responsive maintenance, or 24/7 repair services
- Strong understanding of social housing repairs environments
- Knowledge of operative deployment, call handling, and repairs management systems
- Collaborate with operational teams to develop technical method statements
- Write content covering diagnostics, appointment systems, emergency response, and customer service
- Maintain a library of reactive maintenance bid content
- Support PQQs, ITTs, and framework submissions
