We are recruiting for a permanent employed Multi-Trade Operative to join a well-established maintenance team working across a social housing portfolio in the Hastings area. This role involves carrying out responsive repairs, planned maintenance, and refurbishment works within both occupied and void properties. What's on Offer? ✅ Salary up to £40,000 per annum ✅ Company van and fuel card ✅ Paid annual leave ✅ Pension scheme ✅ Long-term job security ✅ Permanent employed position ✅ Immediate start available Key Responsibilities * Carrying out day-to-day responsive repairs and maintenance * Working within occupied and void social housing properties * Completing refurbishment and remedial works * Diagnosing faults and providing effective repair solutions * Delivering high-quality workmanship with excellent customer service * Using a PDA to manage and update jobs (training provided) Essential Requirements * Strong multi-trade experience across a variety of maintenance disciplines * Competent in: * Carpentry * Plumbing * Patch plastering * General building repairs * Experience working within tenanted properties * Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail * Comfortable using handheld PDA technology * NVQ or City & Guilds Level 2 (minimum) in a relevant trade * Full UK Driving Licence * DBS check (or willingness to undertake one) * Right to work in the UK Desirable * Additional trade qualifications * Social housing maintenance experience Important This opportunity is strictly for candidates seeking a permanent employed position and is ideal for someone looking for stability, employment benefits, and long-term career progression.
