Make a real difference to residents’ homes and wellbeing. We’re looking for a skilled and conscientious Damp & Mould Operative to join our client’s team. In this role, you’ll help create safer, healthier living environments by identifying, treating, and preventing damp, mould and condensation issues in occupied residential properties. This is a hands-on, resident-facing position where your practical skills and attention to detail will directly improve people’s quality of life.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Carrying out damp and mould inspections in occupied homes
  • Diagnosing issues caused by damp, condensation and mould
  • Applying anti-mould treatments and completing minor repairs, including:
    • Patch plastering and redecoration
    • Painting and sealing affected areas
    • Minor joinery or general repair work
  • Recording inspection findings and completed works using mobile app
  • Working closely with supervisors, planners and admin teams to ensure smooth delivery
  • Communicating clearly and professionally with residents, offering reassurance and guidance
  • Following all Health & Safety regulations and site procedures
  • Supporting sustainability, quality workmanship and excellent customer care
  • Participating in out-of-hours support or emergency callout rota when required

What You’ll Need

  • Experience in damp and mould remediation, property maintenance or general building repair
  • Strong skills in painting, plastering or redecoration
  • Good understanding of moisture, ventilation and condensation issues
  • Full CLEAN UK driving licence (VAN & FUEL PROVIDED)
  • A well-maintained toolkit
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Awareness of Health & Safety procedures and correct PPE use
