Role Overview
“Own Amazon growth end-to-end—not just campaigns. Work directly with clients and leadership to drive real commercial outcomes.” The Senior Performance Marketing & Amazon Account Manager is a senior, client-facing leadership role with full ownership of Amazon Seller Central and Vendor Central performance, growth strategy, and execution across assigned accounts. This role assumes end-to-end responsibility for commercial performance, retail readiness, paid media, merchandising execution, and promotional planning on Amazon, acting as a strategic extension of each client’s internal Amazon team. You will own day-to-day account leadership while also contributing to longer-term Amazon growth strategy, including participation in annual Amazon Vendor Growth Plans, Joint Business Plans (JBP), and AVN negotiations, working closely with the Director & Founder.
Amazon Client & Account Leadership
- Act as the primary point of contact for Amazon Seller and Vendor accounts, owning all communications, deliverables, and commercial outcomes.
- Translate client revenue, profitability, and share-of-voice objectives into Amazon-specific growth strategies and execution roadmaps.
- Lead regular trading calls, performance reviews, and quarterly / annual planning sessions.
- Partner with clients on Amazon retail strategy, including category positioning, pricing logic, and range expansion.
- Ensure a consistently high-quality client experience, proactive account leadership, and long-term account retention.
Amazon Retail, Merchandising & Promotional Ownership
- Own and manage Amazon merchandising plans, ensuring optimal content, range visibility, and conversion performance.
- Plan, execute, and optimise Amazon promotional calendars, including: Deals of the Day, Lightning Deals, Price Discounts, Coupons, Seasonal and event-led promotions (Prime Day, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, Peak).
- Coordinate promo submissions, forecasting, and post-event analysis across Seller and Vendor accounts.
- Align promotional activity with paid media, content, and inventory strategy to maximise incremental revenue.
- Ensure best-in-class retail readiness, including content optimisation, Buy Box performance, and in-stock rates.
Amazon Ads & Performance Marketing Strategy
- Develop, implement, and scale Amazon Ads strategies across Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display, and DSP where applicable.
- Own full-funnel Amazon media planning, balancing efficiency, scale, and long-term brand growth.
- Drive structured testing across keywords, targeting types, creatives, and formats.
- Integrate Amazon Ads with wider performance marketing activity (Meta, off-Amazon traffic) where relevant.
Budget Ownership, Forecasting & Commercial Accountability
- Own significant Amazon media and trade budgets with clear ROI, TACoS, and profitability accountability.
- Forecast revenue, spend, and contribution margin across Seller and Vendor accounts.
- Dynamically reallocate budgets to capitalise on high-performing SKUs, campaigns, and promotional windows.
- Support clients with commercial modelling around promotions, AVNs, and growth initiatives.
Amazon Vendor Growth Plans, JBP & AVN Participation
- Support and actively participate in annual Amazon Vendor Growth Plans and Joint Business Planning (JBP) processes.
- Contribute to AVN negotiations, including preparation of data, performance narratives, and growth proposals.
- Align paid media, merchandising, and promotional strategy with agreed Amazon growth priorities.
- Act as a strategic partner to the Director & Founder in high-level vendor conversations.
Analytics, Reporting & Insight
- Deliver structured Amazon reporting across: Revenue, margin, and profitability; Media efficiency and incrementality; Promotional performance; Retail readiness and content health.
- Use Excel, Amazon reporting, and internal tools to surface insights and recommendations.
- Translate data into clear commercial actions for clients and internal teams.
Leadership & People Management
- Directly manage and develop Creative and Marketing Assistants supporting Amazon accounts.
- Set clear objectives, priorities, and expectations aligned to client and agency goals.
- Conduct regular 1-to-1s, coaching sessions, and structured performance reviews.
- Provide hands-on training and mentorship in Amazon Ads, retail fundamentals, and client management.
- Act as a senior escalation point for delivery, performance, and client challenges.
- Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement across the team.
Project, Delivery & Cross-Team Management
- Own internal Amazon workflows and delivery timelines across multiple accounts.
- Coordinate paid media, creative, and operational resources to ensure seamless execution.
- Identify risks early (stock, pricing, promo approvals, media inefficiencies) and proactively resolve them.
Agency & Partner Management
- Manage and optimize relationships with external partners where applicable.
- Ensure accountability against agreed KPIs and Amazon-specific performance benchmarks.
Additional Information
- Location: Haslemere in Surrey highly preferable – occasional remote working might be acceptable. Remote working might be considered for the right candidate, but not the company preference.
- Head Office: 2-4 Petworth Road, Haslemere, GU27 2HR.
- Hours: Full-time, permanent position 9:00 to 17:00 Monday to Friday.
- Salary: £45,000–£55,000 depending on experience.
