About 16VC

16VC is an early-stage venture capital firm investing in bold founders building transformative technologies. With offices in both the US and Europe, we support startups from pre-seed to Series A across fintech, AI/ML, enterprise SaaS, healthcare, climate tech, and more. Our London team plays a critical role in sourcing, evaluating, and supporting top-tier European founders.

Role Overview

We’re hiring an Investment Analyst to join our London office. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to work directly with our investment partners, gain hands-on exposure to early-stage investing, and develop deep expertise in high-growth technology sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deal Sourcing: Identify and track promising early-stage startups across Europe. Build and maintain relationships with founders and ecosystem players.
  • Due Diligence: Conduct market research, competitive analysis, financial modeling, and product assessments to support investment decisions.
  • Thesis Development: Research emerging sectors and technologies. Help shape investment themes and sector-specific insights.
  • Portfolio Support: Assist with portfolio company monitoring, follow-on funding, reporting, and value creation initiatives.
  • Internal Tools: Help maintain internal databases (e.g., CRM, deal tracking), improve workflows, and ensure data quality.

Ideal Candidate

  • 1–3 years of experience in venture capital, investment banking, consulting, private equity, or a startup in a strategic role.
  • Strong analytical and research skills, with a demonstrated passion for technology and entrepreneurship.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills; able to produce clear, compelling memos and reports.
  • Comfortable with data analysis, market sizing, and financial modelling.
  • Highly organised, self-directed, and eager to work in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree from a top-tier institution in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science).
