167 Solutions are looking for a highly technical, customer-focused Forward Deployment Engineer to bridge the gap between cutting-edge AI technology and real-world business challenges. You'll work directly with customers to rapidly prototype, build, and deploy AI-powered solutions that create measurable business value. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, working across engineering and customer teams, and turning ambitious ideas into production-ready applications.

What You'll Do

  • Partner directly with customers to understand business challenges and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Design, build, and deploy Generative AI applications tailored to customer needs.
  • Rapidly prototype AI-powered products and iterate based on customer feedback.
  • Develop scalable backend services and APIs using TypeScript.
  • Architect and deploy cloud-native applications on AWS.
  • Integrate Large Language Models (LLMs), vector databases, and modern AI frameworks into production systems.
  • Build secure, reliable, and performant data pipelines to power AI applications.
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders throughout the deployment lifecycle.
  • Optimize AI solutions for performance, reliability, and cost.
  • Help establish best practices for AI engineering, deployment, and customer success.

What We're Looking For

Required Skills:

  • Strong software engineering experience with TypeScript.
  • Experience building and deploying applications on AWS.
  • Hands-on experience developing Generative AI applications using modern LLMs.
  • Strong understanding of AI application architecture, APIs, and distributed systems.
  • Experience working with structured and unstructured data.
  • Ability to rapidly prototype solutions and iterate in fast-moving customer environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working in ambiguous environments and owning projects from concept to deployment.
