About the Role
167 Solutions is recruiting a talented Full Stack Developer to join a forward-thinking, AI-focused team based in Bristol. This is an exciting opportunity for a developer who loves moving fast, building from the ground up and working at the cutting edge of AI, Generative AI and Data. You'll be hands-on across the full stack, using TypeScript and AWS to design, prototype and ship products rapidly. A strong appetite for "vibe coding" and AI-assisted rapid prototyping is key; you'll be turning ideas into working software quickly, iterating fast and helping shape the direction of new AI-driven products. This role suits someone who is equally comfortable writing production-grade code and rapidly spinning up proofs of concept, and who can communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Hybrid working is on offer, based in Bristol.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Design, build and ship full stack applications across front end and back end using TypeScript.
- Architect, deploy and maintain cloud-native solutions on AWS.
- Rapidly prototype new ideas and proofs of concept, leveraging AI/Gen AI tooling to accelerate delivery ("vibe coding").
- Build and integrate AI, Generative AI and Data-driven features into products.
- Work within an Agile environment, contributing to sprint planning, stand-ups and iterative delivery.
- Collaborate closely with product, design and data colleagues to translate ideas into working software.
- Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements, manage expectations and demo progress.
- Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code and contribute to code reviews.
- Continuously explore and adopt new tools, frameworks and AI capabilities to improve velocity and quality.
- Take ownership of features end to end, from concept through to production and iteration.
Key Technical Skills Required
Essential
- Minimum 3 years' commercial software development experience.
- Strong full stack development skills with TypeScript (front end and back end).
- Solid hands-on experience with AWS (e.g. Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, etc.).
- Demonstrable experience in rapid prototyping and AI-assisted / "vibe coding" workflows.
- Exposure to AI, Generative AI and/or Data projects and tooling.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
- Excellent communication skills and proven stakeholder management ability.
- Ability to work hybrid from Bristol.
Desirable
- Experience with modern front-end frameworks (React, Next.js or similar).
- Familiarity with LLM APIs and Gen AI frameworks (e.g. OpenAI, Anthropic, LangChain).
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (e.g. CDK, Terraform).
- Experience with data pipelines, databases or analytics tooling.
- A portfolio, GitHub or examples of side projects / prototypes.
What's On Offer
- Competitive salary of £40,000 - £70,000 (depending on experience).
- Hybrid working based in Bristol.
- The chance to work at the forefront of AI, Generative AI and Data.
