Senior Reception Support Worker in Yate

We are excited to be recruiting into our Woodleaze team, in Yate, just outside of Bristol. Woodleaze provides quality supported accommodation, with multiple, pioneering resources for young people, co‑designed by young people. If you have good administration skills, are highly organised, and can work a fixed rota pattern of 7:00am–3:00pm, then we want to hear from you. This role can be highly rewarding for someone who wants to play a key role in the support of vulnerable, at‑risk young people.

Who are we? We are a leading youth homelessness charity based in the Southwest, working with over 1,500 young people. How we work: At 1625 our work is rooted in Psychologically Informed Environments (PIE) and Trauma‑Informed Practice (TIP). Our Psychologically Informed Framework shapes how we build relationships, use our spaces, and support young people. This means we prioritise safety, trust, collaboration, and understanding the impact of trauma in every interaction. You don’t need prior experience in PIE or TIP to apply - we’ll support you to learn and develop these approaches in the role.

What you will be doing:

• Act as a welcoming and professional first point of contact for young people, colleagues, and visitors, both in person and via telephone and email.
• Use your strong administrative and organisational skills to support the day to day running of a busy service, including data collection, monitoring, reporting, stock control, maintenance tracking, and other housing related tasks.
• Lead on rota management, including shift planning and arranging cover where required.
• Provide line management, support, and supervision to the weekend and reception team empowering them to deliver high‑quality services.
• Use your problem‑solving skills to support the team in maintaining the safety and security of the service, including responding appropriately to challenging situations and behaviours.

You will be in our Woodleaze team, and your line manager will be the Woodleaze Manager. Our Competency Development Framework sits at the heart of how we work at 1625ip. Contract details:

• Hours per week: 40 (this represents full time hours)
• Contract type: Permanent
• Pay: £27,694 - £29,064 per annum

NOTE: This is the current salary and does not include the NJC pay award that is currently pending. Presently, the Government / National Employers have made a pay offer of a 3.3% pay increase. Once an agreement is reached, the relevant % uplift will be backdated to the employment start date.

The location: You will be based in Woodleaze in Yate, with free parking at the scheme, and within walking distance of the train station with good links to central Bristol.
