Overview
The company is seeking suitably qualified engineers to work at the Stockton Depot. This is a 39 hours/week rota system. Candidates should have completed a PSV or HGV apprenticeship. The main duties of the post are to maintain vehicles in accordance with the Company’s policy and repair specifications and working to the highest standards set by the company and DVSA. Other duties will include the diagnosis and rectification of vehicle faults with a first time fix policy. You will also be required to recognise and report vehicle component defects or symptoms, which are likely to affect the reliability and safety of the vehicle.
Responsibilities
- Maintain vehicles in accordance with the Company’s policy and repair specifications and working to the highest standards set by the company and DVSA.
- Diagnose and rectify vehicle faults with a first time fix policy.
- Recognise and report vehicle component defects or symptoms likely to affect reliability and safety.
Qualifications
- Completed a PSV or HGV apprenticeship.
- Qualified PCV/HGV Fitter with experience working on commercial heavy vehicles.
- Full UK driving licence.
- PCV licence preferred; training to obtain a PCV licence is available after a qualifying period.
- Motivated team player capable of working effectively unsupervised and using own initiative.
