The Role and What You’ll Do: The Senior Account Director will play a critical role in a 160over90 team working for a major global brand on their entertainment‑based partnerships – both existing partnerships and identifying new opportunities. They will be working with an international business that operates in many markets across the globe (EMEA, APAC, LATAM and more) and must have an interest and experience outside of sport – across music, fashion, art and design. The SAD will form part of the Partnerships team in EMEA and report to one of the Senior Vice Presidents of Partnerships in London. This role is 12 months maternity cover. The Senior Account Director will be responsible for ensuring that clients continually receive superior service, thinking and quality from our company and that strategy, planning, programs, tactics, budgets, schedules, documentation and account profitability stay on track. The SAD will be a capable manager with team building skills and mentoring abilities for members of the team. The SAD will be responsible for the account’s growth, profitability and development of the account team. The desired candidate is a trusted and highly collaborative thought leader who can work cross‑functionally and cross‑culturally in a large network organization with a variety of people and work styles.
Experience Required:
- Partnership marketing outside of sport (music, fashion, art and design)
- Brand‑to‑brand collaborations
- Talent identification, agent engagement and management (optional)
- Strategic partnership thinking
- Partnership proposal development (e.g. heads of terms) and outreach on behalf of client
- Internal team management (of junior and senior team members)
- Providing ongoing performance feedback and empowering team members in their job responsibilities, including opportunities for training and development needs
- Client service communication
- Developing client proposals and materials
- Presenting to senior leadership – including to clients, partners, internal 160over90 stakeholders
- Cross‑cultural management
- Cross‑functional management (PR, strategy, experiential, content, etc.)
- Prioritizing workloads
- Staffing and resources allocation across teams
- Leadership within the account team and company to help lead growth and development and account visibility within 160over90
You Have These:
- 12+ years marketing, client service, team management and agency experience
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing and/or equivalent experience in related-field
- Motivational leadership, inspiring team to deliver top performance against assigned business
- Excellent interpersonal skills - experience in client management is a necessity
- Ability to develop and sustain strong working relationships with multiple national and local clients
- Proficiency in project management and proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
- Proven experience and ability to effectively present marketing campaign concepts and ideas to an audience
- Strong planning and organizational skills to effectively manage numerous programs and resources simultaneously
- Extraordinary drive and passion
