Job Description

Role- Stores/Dispatch Assistant/FLT

Location – Eccles

Hours – Mon – Fri 7am – 3pm

Salary £14.50ph

You will play a crucial role in supporting our fabrication workshop of the day-to-day operation, reporting directly to the production manager.

This role is hands-on, and you will be responsible for the flow of raw materials/finished goods within the works. The role carries responsibility for maintaining quality control of products from suppliers and products moving between subcontractors and customers.

This role is based in a fast paced and busy manufacturing environment focussing on small batch production and fast turnaround.

Work Activities

• Cross-checking and packing products for shipment to sub-contractors and customers.
• Goods In/Out for returns to suppliers.
• Issuing customer/supplier delivery notes.
• Maintain a clean and tidy store area.
• Assist in improving and implementing quality control procedures within the store’s environment.
• Receive, unpack and visual QA deliveries.
• Liaising with internal departments on any delays and issues.
• Assist with monthly stock takes.

Essential Qualities-

• Flexibility within the role to be able to cover a variety of areas within the production department.
• Able to demonstrate a high level of attention to detail.
• Able to organise & prioritise the workload.
• Must be a team player who can work on their own initiative.
• Able to work to tight deadlines.
• Should have good oral and communication skills.
• Experience in Manufacturing background
• Current FLT licence
