Role: Dispatch/Stores operative
Location: Rotherham
Shift Pattern: Days, Mon - Fri 7am - 4pm (42.5 hour week)
Starting salary: £26,984 + overtime premiums
My client is a leading name in the field of Fabrication and Laser profiling. There is now an opportunity for a Dispatch Assistant to join the team.
You must have:
- FLT Licence and full driving licence
- Be organised and methodical
- Be confident completing paperwork
Duties will involve:
- Pulling jobs together to ensure customer jobs are complete and correct to the order paperwork.
- Informing the Dispatch co-ordinator when jobs are complete and ready for dispatch.
- Packing and palletising of finished goods ready for dispatch.
- Monitoring stock levels of bought in pallets and wrapping materials.
- Manufacture of over-size or special size pallets.
- Communicate with the Dispatch co-ordinator with notification of ‘shortages’ or ‘ready for courier’.
- Keeping the dispatch area clean, safe and tidy at all times.
- Achieving the agreed dispatch date of customer orders.
- Safe working in the use of the companies’ forklift truck and delivery vehicles.
- Effective two-way communication of all relevant information between the customer and the company.
- Attend and participate with all relevant documentation in meetings as required by the Directors.
- Assist the Company with the implementation of manufacturing strategies to effectively reach the company’s sales and profitability targets.
- Provide all necessary technical support to ensure customer orders are met in line with expectations and delivery promises.
- Ensure all equipment is maintained to a high standard and utilised to the best of its ability.
Overtime is payable at 1.25 hourly rate for weekdays and 1.5 at weekends. The company has a profit-related bonus scheme at 8%, calculated every 3 months, paid the month after. The scheme is open to new members each January and you must have completed 6 months employment to join.
23 Days annual leave + 8 statutory (3 days used to cover the Christmas break) + 1 additional day for your birthday.
