We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Midweight Interior Designer to join our London studio and support the design and delivery of our world-class hospitality, residential and mixed-use projects.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Contribute to the successful delivery of projects across all RIBA Work Stages, supporting the design process from concept development through to installation and project completion.
- Develop creative and considered design solutions that align with the project vision and creative direction established by senior team members.
- Produce high-quality design documentation, including concept visuals, CAD drawings, joinery details, presentation materials, schedules and specification documentation.
- Research and specify materials, finishes, furnishings, and suppliers, ensuring selections meet design intent, quality standards, and budget requirements.
- Support project coordination and delivery, managing assigned tasks, maintaining drawing registers and ensuring project deadlines are met.
- Assist during construction and installation phases, attending workshops, coordinating with suppliers and contractors, reviewing mark-ups, and supporting project dressing and handover activities.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and wider project teams.
- Stay informed of industry trends, emerging products, technologies, and market developments to contribute relevant and innovative design solutions.
- Collaborate effectively within project teams, sharing knowledge, supporting colleagues, and contributing positively to the studio culture.
- Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and initiative, managing personal workload effectively, adhering to studio procedures, and maintaining high standards of attendance and performance.
- Degree or equivalent, qualified in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a related discipline.
- 3–5 years’ experience within an Interior Design, Interior Architecture, and/or FF&E Design role.
- Experience delivering high-end residential, hospitality or luxury mixed-use projects.
- Articulate, with strong conceptual design ability, refined aesthetic sensibility and excellent attention to detail.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp and Microsoft Office; experience with Revit is advantageous.
- Experience coordinating with external consultants, suppliers, contractors, and specialist manufacturers.
- Good understanding of the RIBA Plan of Work and project delivery processes.
- Positive, proactive and adaptable approach, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
