The Role
- Develop and optimise Methods of Manufacture (MOM) for new and existing products
- Drive improvements in quality and lead‑time through proactive process optimisation
- Assess new technologies and contribute to a strategic capability acquisition plan
- Resolve non‑conformances and eliminate root causes using structured problem‑solving tools
- Apply quality management techniques such as PFMEA, SPC, and MSA
- Collaborate closely with technicians and project teams to enhance production processes
- Create training packs and define best practices to support continuous improvement
About You
- A relevant Engineering degree and at least 5 years’ manufacturing experience
- Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a collaborative mindset
- Confidence in analysing performance data and producing clear, actionable reports
- Ability to prioritise workload effectively in a fast‑paced environment
Desirable extras:
- Lean manufacturing experience (Green Belt or higher)
- Familiarity with structured problem‑solving (8D)
- Experience within the rail industry
