Procurement, buying or supply chain professional who is driven by finding and implementing improvements? Do you have a restless appetite for developing novel solutions with suppliers? If yes to the above this role is for you.

The hiring business is a manufacturer of capital equipment which is sold globally to other hi-tech manufacturing sectors. With an already lean and efficient production process they are now looking to drive improvements in quality, delivery, cost or sustainability through the supply base and into materials management.

This role is a newly created position to pro-actively seek out waste and improve supplier performance. We’re looking for someone who has the following experience within small to medium sized electro-mechanical manufacturing business:

  • Identifying new suppliers and onboarding them to ensure fulfilment to OTIF targets
  • Working with existing suppliers to find new improvement and cost down initiatives
  • Work with internal teams including design, materials planning, production and logistics to understand and manage current and future materials requirements.

This role would suit an individual with experience in supply chain management, buying or procurement, and it may be someone who feels they can do more than their current remit, possibly frustrated by working in an environment that is too regimented or resistant to change. If this is you we’d like to hear from you.
