1492 Ltd are working on a retained project for a SME precision engineering business who are looking for a quality engineer to join their expanding team. The quality department prides itself on being proactive and getting things right first time. If you’re passionate about quality and have a knack for identifying and solving problems, this role could be your next big move.
This role will be very hands-on, on the shop floor, working closely with the CI leader on non-conformance reports, root cause analysis, on-site and with customers and suppliers. As well as utilising quality problem tools such as 8D and SPC, you will be working on the quality management system and be involved with internal audits.
The ideal candidate will have worked in a machining/precision engineering environment with a good appreciation of FAIRS and AS9100, with the ability to problem-solve. Any experience of programming CMM machines is advantageous, but the most important attribute is a methodical and keen eye for detail.
