We’re looking for a hands-on engineer who wants to increase their remit to lead on manufacturing performance and continuous improvement projects. Our client is a specialist engineering and manufacturing business operating within the medical device sector, producing high-quality, technically advanced products within a regulated manufacturing environment. With continued investment and ambitious growth plans, this is an exciting opportunity to join a business focused on innovation, quality and operational excellence.

The successful candidate will be comfortable working both strategically and practically on the shop floor, helping to improve manufacturing capability, reduce defects and optimise production performance within an ISO13485 and GMP-controlled environment. This role would particularly suit candidates from medical device manufacturing or other regulated industries such as aerospace or automotive.

Key Requirements
  • Degree, HND or HNC in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment
  • Strong CAD/CAM and CNC machining experience is essential
  • Experience with Alpha CAM and/or SolidWorks would be highly advantageous
  • Good understanding of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques
  • Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
  • Flexible team player with a proactive approach
