Manufacturing Engineer

The business provides a range of production and after market services to a range of markets but predominantly rail. They have won awards and are taking on more factory space to support the growth.

Responsibilities

• Use your improvement toolbox to measure, analyse, improve and control processes
• Create and optimise methods of manufacture in both existing and NPI processes
• Translate complex engineering drawings and information into clear and actionable work methods and training packs

Qualifications

• Have a deep understanding of a range of CI tools and techniques within a production process, including PPAP, FMEA, RCA, 8D, SPC, time and motion studies
• Have demonstrable experience of improving processes within a mechanical manufacturing and assembly environment, with improvements that demonstrate reduction in build times and improvement to on-time delivery
• Hold relevant qualifications in mechanical engineering, manufacturing systems engineering, business improvement, six-sigma or equivalents
