Are you a quality leader from a precision engineering background who thrives in a hands-on SME environment? Can you balance the detail of AS9100 compliance with the bigger strategic picture? Do you know how to drive RFT and OTIF performance while building the right culture within your team?

We are working on a retained project for a well-established precision engineering business with over 100 years of heritage, part of a global group supplying complex engineered components into aerospace, defence, subsea, industrial and renewables sectors. We’re looking for a Head of Quality to lead a small team of engineers and inspectors, take ownership of the QMS, manage audits, and drive robust root cause analysis and continuous improvement across the site. This is a hands-on leadership role — equally at home on the shop floor as in front of senior stakeholders.

You’ll bring:

  • A strong background in precision engineering manufacturing
  • Experience with AS9100 (or equivalent) and audit management
  • A track record of improving KPIs such as RFT and OTIF
  • The ability to coach, empower and lead a team in the right way
