You would become part of a high-growth Private Investment Group, overseeing a group of businesses within the same manufacturing sector and helping to shape their strategic direction and growth.

The Role: As Group Finance Director, you will be a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, responsible for shaping and executing the financial strategy of the Group. You will be leading a multi-entity finance function where you will oversee financial management, reporting, strategic planning, and investment decision-making, ensuring our client continues to scale efficiently and sustainably. With a strong focus on operational efficiency, you will play a critical role in driving business transformation and supporting the Group's expansion. Plus, you will act as a key business partner, ultimately supporting the Managing Directors and wider team to commercially optimize the businesses and mentoring others within the financial functions of each entity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership of team and business - Develop and execute the Group's financial strategy, ensuring alignment with business growth objectives.
  • Financial Control - Lead the finance function, overseeing the Group Financial Controller and Segment Controllers.
  • Business partner for commercial support - Financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, ensuring high-quality insights for strategic decision-making.

About you: Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with significant leadership experience. Proven experience as board level finance director, with experience in a privately owned investment environment. Experience working within an entrepreneurial SME environment, ideally in Rail, construction, manufacturing or service delivery.
