Looking to start your career in the food industry? Want to join a company that genuinely encourages growth and development? Ready for a role where you will learn and expand your knowledge each day? Have a determined attitude and a desire to develop in your career? Like the idea of working for a food company that actually shuts down at Christmas?

This is a perfect opportunity for a recent food science graduate to join a producer in the food industry that’s on the up! With a team that’s doubled in size in the past 5 years, an expanding customer base both in the UK and overseas, as well as some big new projects in the pipeline, 2026 is looking like an exciting year.

We’re looking for a motivated graduate to join our client's Quality team in a hands-on role with real scope to grow. This position is ideal for someone at the start of their career who wants more than a box-ticking QA admin job and is keen to develop long-term within food manufacturing.

You’ll begin by learning the fundamentals of Quality Assurance on site, supported by an experienced and highly practical manager, before having the opportunity to progress into Quality, NPD, or even a blend of both.

This role is as much about attitude and potential as it is about qualifications. We’re keen to hear from you if you are:

  • A graduate or recent graduate in Food Science, Nutrition, or a related food-scientific discipline
  • Curious, proactive, and genuinely interested in learning and developing
  • A confident communicator with strong attention to detail
  • Organised and able to manage your workload independently
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a close-knit team
  • Assertive in a positive, constructive way when required
  • NOT requiring Visa sponsorship either now or in the future - this is a client that can not offer sponsorship

Initially, the role will focus on QA administration and site-based quality activities, including:

  • Carrying out quality checks within production
  • Completing site hygiene audits
  • Sending laboratory samples and reporting results
  • Preparing and typing Certificates of Analysis (COAs)
  • Supporting compliance and documentation processes
  • Communicating professionally with suppliers and customers

As you develop, there will be opportunities to move into areas such as:

  • Internal and external auditing
  • Supplier management
  • New Product Development (NPD)
  • Broader quality and compliance responsibilities

You’ll report directly to an experienced manager who is known for their hands-on training and support and you'll be working closely with the production team. A good attitude, personality, and willingness to learn will be highly valued. The right mindset and commitment will be rewarded.

Competitive salary, dependent on experience. Early finish every Friday at 3:30pm. Annual bonus scheme. Holiday entitlement increases – an extra day per year after three years of service. A driving licence is highly recommended, as public transport options to site can be limited.
