Car driver essential
I am looking for a personable carer for my son who is 38 years old and suffers from cerebral palsy. He is a good communicator with a great sense of humour and is passionate about football and loves to participate with friends playing pool and dominoes.
He has regular exercises to do at home to help strengthen and maintain muscle health. He needs to be warm at all times and cannot be outside in very windy weather, needing someone to link arms with to keep his stability when out walking, as he likes to go walking along the piers locally.
Some personal care will be required e.g. general hand and foot care, shaving and being assisted to the barber’s at least once every 6 weeks. Someone who drives is essential, ideally who lives close to Whitburn. Hours to be arranged mutually with both parties.
The successful applicant will require a DBS check and be able to get on well with Roger who is our rescue cat.
