Purpose of Job

The purpose of the role is to provide support to Layland accessing the community. He visits many groups such as soft play and trampoline parks, during these visits the support will be to ensure he is always safe by providing constant support to ensure his safety. When outside the family home a ratio of 2:1 is in place to ensure the wellbeing of Layland, to provide support for him to communicate his needs effectively.

About the individual

Layland is a 10-year-old boy with lots of energy who loves music and singing, messy play and sensory play. He is a happy and outgoing individual who loves being outside in the fresh air. He has a diagnosis of Autism, learning delay, Pica. Layland uses single words to communicate with others. He has a positive behaviour plan in place to support his needs. Layland has minimal understanding of dangers so requires support to ensure he is always safe.

Main duties

  • To ensure Layland has a supportive environment to allow him to access groups safely.
  • To ensure Layland is safe and following his personal behaviour plan.

This post is subject to DBS check and references. This vacancy will close as soon as a suitable candidate is appointed. At the time of starting their employment, the successful candidate must have permission to work in the U.K.
