We are looking for a caring, energetic and reliable Personal Assistant to support a young person in Newcastle for 16 hours per week. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who enjoys being active, encouraging participation in hobbies and helping someone safely access social and community activities.
Responsibilities include:
- Support with physical, outdoor and community activities
- Encourage hobbies and interests including music, Lego, trains and cooking
- Use public transport to access activities and venues
- Help maintain attention and provide clear, simple communication
- Promote safe participation in new experiences and positive social interaction
The ideal candidate will be patient, calm, adaptable and physically able to take part in active pursuits. They should have good communication skills, enjoy the outdoors and be confident supporting someone to try new things safely. A driver with access to a car would be preferred.
