Hi, my name is Ben. I’m a 16-year-old boy and I’m autistic. I’m quite shy at first, so it takes me a little time to feel comfortable around new people, but once I do, I can really open up. I’m looking for someone friendly, patient, and understanding to support me to develop my independence and confidence.
This will include helping me with everyday skills like going to the shop, meeting new people, and feeling more confident when I’m out in the community. I have a few interests that are really important to me. I love Dragon Ball Z and Godzilla, and I really enjoy making TikTok videos. I’m also a big fan of Newcastle Eagles basketball and like watching their games.
The right person for me will be someone who can encourage me at my own pace, help me try new things, and support me to grow in confidence while respecting who I am. A good sense of humour and an interest in the things I enjoy would be a big plus.
If you think you could support me to build my independence and confidence, I’d really like to meet you.
This vacancy will close as soon as a suitable candidate is appointed. At the time of starting their employment, the successful candidate must have permission to work in the U.K.
