Hours: Full and part time hours available 8pm – 8am.
Hourly Rate: £31.00 per hour
Location: Gateshead
Urgent support required. A unique opportunity has arisen for registered Paediatric/Adult Nurses to work into a package of support for a young boy. We are looking for confident and competent experienced Registered Paediatric/Adult Nurses who can work in a community setting with a background in Critical Care/ICU. Experience of working with complex clinical care, Community care would be an advantage.
The support is funded via a Personal Health Budget, and you will provide nursing care and support within a busy family home and in the community. Zac has a rare cardiac condition and needs round the clock care and support. There must be a nurse on shift all the time and you will be supported by a health care assistant. You will provide one on one care and support as well as working as part of a wider team. Your support will really make a difference and enable Zac’s independence.
Essential Requirements:
- A minimum of 1 year’s experience and ability to work with and practice the following:
- Tracheostomy care
- Ventilation care
- Enteral tube feeding
- Oral suction / trache suction
- Medication Administration and Pain Management
- Suction Machine
- Nebuliser
- Saturation monitoring
You will need to:
- Be a Registered Nurse with full awareness and understanding of NMC code of professional conduct
- Have a Valid PIN / DBS
