The role is to support a young lady to access and engage in activities within her local community.

  • Assistance to engage with activities I enjoy at home and outdoors.

  • Mobility & Transport
  • Ensure my safety boarding on and off public transport.
  • Full, clean UK driving licence is essential if you are a driver.

  • Physically fit – able to safely lift and handle and keep me safe.
  • Able to follow instructions carefully and work with sensitivity.

  • You must have experience working with children with disabilities.
  • Bubbly, happy, and outgoing.
  • Naturally upbeat, positive, and compassionate.
  • Good at taking the initiative but also comfortable being guided from my parents or myself.
  • Responsible with strong attention to detail and vigilant always.
  • Non-smoker – due to allergens.

About Me

I am a 15-year-old young girl with developmental delay and I am partially sighted which is corrected with specialist eye wear. I’m looking for an experienced personal assistant to support me access the local community and enjoy activities of my own choice. I enjoy going to the cinema, coffee dates, shopping and attending my local gym. You would support me to engage in these activities and always ensure my safety. I reside with my mum, dad and siblings and we have an active household.

There is a genuine occupational requirement for the holder of this post to be female in accordance with the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014 and Equality Act 2010 schedule 9 paragraphs 1 – 4.

At the time of starting their employment, the successful candidate must have permission to work in the U.K.
