Hours

  • Role 1: 4 hours Thursday evening 4:30pm – 8:30pm
  • Role 2: 6-8 hours on 2 or 3 weekends per month (one day per weekend). Saturday or Sunday up to 8 hours (9am – 5pm). Negotiable day. Flexible start/end times may be required to fit children's activities.
  • Additional hours may also be available during school holidays for any applicant that could offer this flexibility.

Brief details of the job

The main purpose of this job is to work alongside the employer caring for and supporting their children with various activities. The main task on a Thursday evening would be to pick up the daughter and take her to a football activity then assist with bedtime routine. Applicants should have some experience of managing challenging behaviour.

The employer has two children, a son age 11 and a daughter age 8, both with developmental trauma and attachment issues causing emotional and behavioural difficulties. The son is autistic and has ADHD and attends a specialist school; he needs support to manage his emotions and social situations. He enjoys using technology such as Roblox, drawing and playing with playdoh or Lego; he often needs encouragement and support to go out but enjoys himself once out. The youngest has ADHD, is sociable and friendly, loves spending time outside and playing with baby dolls, and also needs support to manage her emotions.
