Job Description
Network Architect
Leicester or Hursley – onsite
Active SC clearance required
Inside IR35
- Network Architect for on-premises critical national infrastructure solution leading a mix of network new build, tech refresh and live service activities
- Working with networking infrastructure including Cisco switches, firewalls, routers, ISE, F5 load-balancers, Juniper SRX, and SolarWinds monitoring
- Knowledge of a wide range of networking concepts and technologies including:
- IPSec – site to site
- Layer 2 e.g. STP, VPC, VLAN, OTV
- Layer 3 e.g. IP, VRF, OSPF, QoS, IDS, HSRP, GRE
- F5 LTM, Big DNS (GTM)
- CCNP level understanding.
- Documenting solutions into HLDs and LLDs as well as overseeing the overall network configuration management
- Providing Networking leadership within the organisation and for the client when required
- Evaluating Networking technology choices to address client requirements
- Promoting best practise, standardisation, security, policies, and automation
- Good communicator, able to communicate to deeply technical and non-technical audiences
- A good coach and mentor to the wider networks team.
