Role Title: Assistant Project Manager
Location: Manchester – 2 to 3 days per week on site
Rate: £420 to £480 via umbrella company
Length: Initial 3 months with strong potential for extension
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant/Junior Project Manager with 3 to 4 years of experience to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project coordination and management, with a solid understanding of project lifecycles, methodologies, and best practices. A certification in PMP or PRINCE2 is preferred. You will work closely with senior project managers and cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects within scope, time, and budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Project Manager in planning, executing, and closing projects according to defined timelines and budgets.
- Support in defining project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and status reports.
- Monitor project progress and performance, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Manage day-to-day project activities, coordinate resources, and resolve issues proactively.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field.
3 to 4 years of experience in project coordination or project management.
Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
PMP or PRINCE2 certification (or in progress) is highly preferred.
Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project, Asana, Trello, Jira.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Experience working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
