Responsibilities

  • Sell digital and print advertising to scientific recruiters across Europe.
  • Focus on Branded Content, digital advertising solutions and recruitment subscription packages on Nature Careers.
  • Manage existing accounts and pursue new business development.
  • Conduct lead sourcing, cold calling and sell advertising online and in print.
  • Meet and liaise with clients and agencies to discuss and identify advertising requirements within the designated territory.
  • Write clear and customised proposals covering products across the Springer Nature portfolio of journals and websites.
  • Maintain all ongoing sales activities in CRM and provide clear revenue figures and sales forecast to management on a weekly basis.
  • Develop complete market awareness, understand competitor strengths and weaknesses, track share of market across the territory.
  • Attend relevant exhibitions, career fairs, conferences, trade shows and other events in the market.

Qualifications

  • Essential: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable with prospecting and cold calling.
  • Excellent phone manner and high level of customer service.
  • Strong organisational skills, ability to cope under pressure.
  • Good knowledge of general office computer software and CRM systems (including MS Office and Salesforce).
  • Client-oriented and proactive sales approach.
  • Ability to demonstrate lead generation and new business development techniques.
  • Desirable: Previous sales experience preferably within a B2B environment.
  • Comfortable with cold calling.
  • Fluency in French would be an advantage, but is not essential.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
