An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Intelligence Analyst to join a forward-thinking organisation committed to empowering teams with meaningful, data-driven insights. This role is ideal for a proactive individual who enjoys working closely with stakeholders to design, develop, and deliver effective business intelligence solutions. The successful candidate will take ownership of the full data lifecycle—from understanding business requirements through to developing and optimising data pipelines, building robust data models, and producing impactful visualisations.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain scalable data warehouses for self-service analytics, particularly using Power BI
- Work closely with stakeholders to capture reporting requirements and understand underlying business drivers
- Design data models that reflect business processes and relationships
- Create intuitive, insightful dashboards and visual reports to aid decision-making
- Develop and manage ETL pipelines using tools such as Azure Data Factory and SSIS
- Clean, transform and prepare data for analysis
- Conduct query optimisation and monitor performance across reporting systems
- Support compliance with data protection regulations, including GDPR
- Carry out database administration and contribute to overall system improvements
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience dealing with stakeholders
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in a professional environment
- Advanced SQL skills and a strong understanding of query performance tuning
- Demonstrable experience building reports and dashboards in Power BI
- Proficiency in designing and managing ETL processes
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash
