Location: Liverpool/Hybrid working

Our client, a well-respected Law firm based in Liverpool, is seeking an experienced EL/PL Team Leader to oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the EL/PL team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of claims handlers, ensuring the efficient handling of claims. This role requires a strong understanding of EL/PL, exceptional leadership skills, and a commitment to risk management and legal compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, motivate, and support a team of EL/PL claims handlers, ensuring high performance.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and support to the team.
  • Conduct performance reviews, set individual goals, and support learning and professional growth within the team.
  • Monitor and maintain quality control over claim outcomes, ensuring that all claims are handled in a compliant manner.
  • Ensure that all necessary documentation and case files are properly maintained and compliant with internal audits and external regulations.
  • Review claims including technical claims ensuring accuracy and assist the team in complex or higher value claims.
  • Act as the main point of contact for key clients, stakeholders, and any third parties.
  • Resolve any issues/complaints from clients, providing solutions that protect the company's reputation and the client's interest.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience handling EL/PL claims, with at least 3 years in a supervisory/team leader role.
  • Proven track record of managing a team with expertise in EL/PL claims and legal frameworks.

Skills:

  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to coach, motivate, and develop a high-performing team.
  • In-depth knowledge of EL/PL policy and procedure, claims processes, and relevant legal regulations.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
