We are working with one of the top 30 UK MEP subcontractors to appoint an experienced Mechanical Project Manager for a high-profile commercial fit out project in Central London. This is a long-term contract opportunity, offering stability, a dynamic project environment, and a competitive rate of £400 per day.

The Role: You will take full responsibility for the mechanical package, leading the delivery from pre-construction through to completion. This is a client-facing role requiring strong technical knowledge, excellent coordination skills, and a proactive approach to managing programme and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of mechanical services on-site, including HVAC, plumbing, and public health
  • Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and main contractors
  • Ensure works are delivered on time, within budget, and to required quality standards
  • Lead project meetings and liaise regularly with clients, consultants, and the wider project team
  • Monitor health & safety compliance and maintain site records
  • Oversee commissioning and handover processes

Candidate Requirements:

  • Proven experience managing mechanical packages on commercial fit out projects
  • Strong technical understanding of MEP systems and installation practices
  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills
  • SMSTS, CSCS, and relevant mechanical qualifications are desirable
  • London-based or able to commute daily
