The Role
A London main contractor specialising in high-end fit out is looking for an Assistant MEP Manager to join their team. Working across residential, retail and commercial projects, this is ideal for an MEP professional with 2–3 years' experience looking to progress into MEP Project Management.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Senior MEP Project Managers with project delivery.
- Support delivery of MEP packages across high-end fit out projects.
- Manage and coordinate MEP subcontractors.
- Monitor subcontractor progress against programme.
- Assist with project planning and programme management.
- Coordinate MEP works with the wider construction team.
- Organise and manage RFIs.
- Track RFIs through to close-out.
- Coordinate technical information between project stakeholders.
- Review MEP drawings and specifications.
- Assist with technical submissions and approvals.
- Attend design and coordination meetings.
- Assist with resolving technical issues on site.
- Monitor MEP installation quality and progress.
- Maintain project trackers and documentation.
- Assist with subcontractor meetings.
- Liaise with consultants and design teams.
- Assist with commissioning and testing activities.
- Support project handover and close-out.
- Work closely with the commercial and construction teams.
- Develop responsibility for individual MEP packages over time.
- Progress towards taking ownership of projects and packages.
- Build long-term MEP Project Management experience.
Requirements
- 2–3 years' MEP/building services experience.
- MEP contractor or main contractor background preferred.
- Assistant MEP PM, MEP Coordinator or similar experience.
- Good understanding of MEP construction and installation.
- Experience dealing with subcontractors and technical information.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ambition to progress within MEP Project Management.

- £45,000–£55,000 salary.
