What you\'ll do:
As we modernise our technology stack, we are investing significantly in our decisioning capability, including the rollout of Taktile Decision Engine in 2026.
The Decision Engine Manager will be the owner and day‑to‑day steward of the Taktile Decision Engine for 118 118 Money. You will work closely with the wider business to manage change within the decision engine; ensuring safe deployment, strong governance and accurate execution across credit, fraud, affordability, pricing and customer management strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary owner of the Taktile Decision platform
- Manage change requests, prioritisation, and delivery within the engine
- Maintain strong change-control processes, documentation, versioning, and audit trails
- Build and maintain rules, strategies, flows, and champion/challenger tests
- Translate business and risk requirements into structured decision logic
- Develop and run test plans including unit, integration, regression, and back‑testing
- Work with Credit Risk, Marketing, Analytics, Fraud and Technology teams to manage strategy changes across the business effectively
- Support audits, control reviews, and regulatory requests.
- Identify opportunities to streamline and optimise decision flows
What you need:
- Experience with a decision engine (Taktile, Pega, Provenir, Blaze, PowerCurve, Zoot, etc.)
- Knowledge of credit risk decisioning in a regulated environment
- Ability to convert business requirements into rules and structured logic
- Experienced in testing and validating strategy changes
- SQL and/or Python skills for analysis and validation
- Understanding of data structures and API integrations
- Ability to manage stakeholders and prioritise a change roadmap
- High attention to detail and strong problem‑solving skills
- Calm and structured under pressure
- Strong written communication
- Passionate about building modern, controlled, auditable decisioning processes
