We are looking for a Strategy Director to join Hotels.com at Expedia Group to define and operationalize the brand’s go‑forward strategy for Business Travel. This role reports to the Hotels.com Head of Strategy & Planning and will play a key role in delivering the brand’s growth ambitions.
Responsibilities
- Own strategy development and operationalize key short‑, medium‑ and long‑term Business Travel initiatives.
- Evaluate strategic opportunities, identify market trends and assess risks and drivers.
- Frame options, evaluate trade‑offs and develop data‑backed business cases to support executive decision‑making.
- Communicate findings to senior stakeholders and build buy‑in.
- Own the end‑to‑end process from inception through market activation of prioritized initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams such as Product & Tech, Marketing, Supply, Pricing, Finance and Analytics.
- Operate independently with limited oversight while keeping leadership appropriately involved.
- Partner with Finance on annual planning processes and performance metrics.
- Leverage analytics to drive informed business decisions and maintain consistency across diverse markets.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in Business Travel or Business strategy.
- Experience establishing cross‑functional plans to bring strategy to life and driving business results.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to build business cases and highlight market opportunities and risks.
- Experience launching new business or products in an ambiguous, fast‑paced environment.
- Stakeholder management skills and ability to influence without authority.
- Background in top‑tier management consulting or technology company preferred.
Compensation
- New York: $224,000.00 – $313,500.00 (potential to increase to $358,500.00).
- Seattle: $207,500.00 – $290,500.00 (potential to increase to $332,000.00).
- Salary varies by location and experience.
