Location: United Kingdom. Salary: £42,700 – £70,400. Travel required: 10% of the time. UK citizenship required. No relocation assistance provided. This role is part of the UK Cyber & Intelligence business supporting national security software development in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Confidently explain and present design choices to varying audiences.
  • Create artefacts that support the lean process including wireframes, prototypes, customer journey maps, testing, and research.
  • Lead the development of features, ensuring work is consistent and fulfils design aims.
  • Lead small teams, being accountable for the quality of delivery.
  • Facilitate workshops to build collaboration between project team members.
  • Liaise with Product Owners, project stakeholders, and key role holders to deliver the desired user experience.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated portfolio showcasing design thinking and research/testing methods.
  • Experience managing designers and project work.
  • Excellent communication skills – presenting ideas and feedback, and providing quality control according to the UX charter.
  • Solid understanding of UX practices within software development.
  • Good knowledge of accessibility (WCAG 2.1) and inclusive design techniques, or willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work in an Agile environment.

Requirements:

  • Must be a British National and hold the highest level of UK Government clearance.
