As a Senior DevOps Engineer at Northrop Grumman UK, you will design, develop, and maintain the critical infrastructure that powers our services. You’ll work on a variety of exciting projects and complex challenges, delivering core capabilities that have real‑world impact. You will lead technical initiatives, guide engineers, and support customer and programme requirements.
Your Responsibilities
- Perform hands‑on development and actively contribute to the code base, including undertaking peer reviews.
- Design engineering features that support delivery of the product roadmap and clearly articulate design decisions.
- Break down large pieces of work into well‑defined tasks aligned with Agile delivery.
- Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines, taking ownership of build and deployment processes.
- Demonstrate development progress to internal and external customers through clear, confident presentations.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience as a DevOps Engineer with strong skills in CI/CD, containerisation, deployment technologies and cloud platforms (e.g., Jenkins, Kubernetes, IaC, Docker, AWS).
- Experience in Linux system administration or similar operating systems.
- Understanding of database technologies, such as SQL, Elasticsearch or MongoDB.
- Strong communication, collaboration and problem‑solving skills, ideally gained in an agile environment.
- Curiosity, potential and a willingness to learn.
