As Principal ILS & Obsolescence Engineer, you will play a key role in the development and growth of Integrated Logistics Support and Obsolescence Engineering across UK programmes. You will work on prestigious maritime programmes, providing expertise across the full product life cycle, and support delivery of complex products as part of the ILS & Obsolescence team.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the application and development of ILS processes across key programmes.
  • Provide subject‑matter expertise to engineering teams throughout the product life cycle.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Oversee ILS activity at all life cycle stages, ensuring programme alignment and quality.
  • Provide technical leadership to suppliers and partner organisations.

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience applying ILS and Obsolescence Engineering methods and techniques.
  • Degree‑qualified or equivalent experience in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Strong communication and people‑focused skills.
  • Experience managing external customer and supplier relationships.
  • Aptitude for leadership, coaching and team support.

Preferred

  • Experience working within defence, maritime or complex engineering environments.

Security Clearance

Must be a UK national and able to gain and maintain SC level UK Government security clearance.
