Overview

We’re seeking an experienced Infrastructure Systems Administrator to design, develop, and maintain secure infrastructure for naval platform management systems, supporting both surface ships and submarines. The role involves ensuring the reliability, security, and compliance of our development environment and final product, contributing directly to national defence and global security.

Responsibilities

  • Designing and building mission‑critical IT and OT infrastructure for naval platforms.
  • Ensuring high availability and defence‑grade security for critical systems.
  • Managing Windows Server and Red Hat Linux environments, optimising for performance and compliance.
  • Implementing virtualisation solutions (VMware, Hyper‑V) to support scalable development.
  • Maintaining IT assets and automating monitoring and reporting across the development environment.
  • Enforcing cybersecurity standards, conducting vulnerability scans, and ensuring regulatory compliance (ISO 27001, IEC 62443).

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in IT infrastructure with a focus on IT/OT integration.
  • Strong skills in Windows Server domain administration and Red Hat Linux.
  • Hands‑on experience with virtualisation technologies such as VMware and Hyper‑V.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity practices and vulnerability management.
  • Familiarity with defence regulations and secure system design.
  • Experience in IT asset management and automated monitoring tools.

Must be a Sole UK National and be able to gain and maintain a SC‑level UK Government security clearance.
