This role is part of the UK Cyber & Intelligence business supporting national security software development in an Agile environment.
Responsibilities
- Confidently explain and present design choices to varying audiences.
- Create artefacts that support the lean process including wireframes, prototypes, customer journey maps, testing, and research.
- Lead the development of features, ensuring work is consistent and fulfils design aims.
- Lead small teams, being accountable for the quality of delivery.
- Facilitate workshops to build collaboration between project team members.
- Liaise with Product Owners, project stakeholders, and key role holders to deliver the desired user experience.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated portfolio showcasing design thinking and research/testing methods.
- Experience managing designers and project work.
- Excellent communication skills – presenting ideas and feedback, and providing quality control according to the UX charter.
- Solid understanding of UX practices within software development.
- Good knowledge of accessibility (WCAG 2.1) and inclusive design techniques, or willingness to learn.
- Ability to work in an Agile environment.
