ABOUT YOU
The Finance team plays an integral role for 111SKIN and its sister companies. We are responsible for providing day-to-day financial accounting in addition to supporting the business with strategic financial development. As the Group Finance Manager, you will be responsible for managing the statutory financial reporting, tax compliance, cash flow forecasting as well as managing our AP and AR functions. You will also work closely with our external auditors as well as our external tax advisors to ensure compliance. You will analyse and challenge figures across various aspects of our financial infrastructure whilst contributing to the wider financial growth of 111SKIN.
WHAT YOU’RE HERE TO DO
- Financial Management
- Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations including inventory valuation, fixed assets, intercompany reconciliations, credits and debtors ledgers, accruals, prepayments etc.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Support on the coordination of the month end close process.
- Manage the AP & AR functions, oversee payment runs and support the Credit Controller on managing aged debtors.
- Manage the fixed assets register as well as capex reporting and budgeting.
- Responsible for submitting UK & EU VAT returns and managing US Sales tax.
- Manage day to day cashflow and cashflow forecasting, ensuring any risks and opportunities are raised well in advance.
- Lead on the annual audit, being a key point of contact for external auditors.
- Work alongside Avalara to support on US sales tax project.
- Be the key point of contact for Sage, managing projects for development and day to day queries.
- Liaise with external tax advisors on compliance matters.
- Drive process improvements, particularly within AP & AR, replacing manual processes with automated processes.
- Manage cashflow, optimise working capital and oversee treasury activities.
- Improve cashflow forecasting accuracy, working closely with Operations to drive better accuracy in stock buy forecasting.
- Work alongside our Sage partners to establish automated cashflow reporting.
- Management of the AP & AR functions, including line management of two people.
- Assist wider Finance team regarding financial data, acting as a subject matter expert.
- Be proactive, regularly updating wider Finance team and management of any risks or opportunities.
- Look for opportunities to further your own learning and development.
- Undertake any other task, deemed to be appropriate to this role, as directed by a member of the Management Team or Board.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
The Group Finance Manager is expected to have the following skills and knowledge:
- Qualified ACCA/ACA accountant.
- Experience working in a fast-paced FMCG, consumer goods, retail, cosmetics business.
- Strong business acumen and commercial awareness.
- Strong technical knowledge, solid understanding of accounting frameworks, policies, and procedures.
- Team management experience desirable.
- Previous experience of working with SAGE X3 highly desirable.
