Job Title: HGV Mechanic / Heavy Vehicle Technician Location: Evesham. WR11 1GS Salary: Up to £50,830.00 per annum (depending on experience). Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Hours: 08:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday. Overtime available. About the Role We are seeking a skilled and motivated HGV Mechanic / Heavy Vehicle Technician to join our growing maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the inspection, servicing, maintenance, and repair of a fleet of heavy goods vehicles, ensuring they remain safe, roadworthy, and compliant with all relevant regulations. Key Responsibilities Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs and trailers. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults. Perform MOT preparation and ensure vehicles meet legal compliance standards. Complete vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance schedules. Respond to vehicle breakdowns and emergency repairs when required. Maintain accurate service and repair records. Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company procedures. Work collaboratively with drivers, transport managers, and other workshop staff. Requirements Proven experience as an HGV Mechanic, HGV Technician, or Heavy Vehicle Technician. Relevant qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (Level 2/3 NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent). Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills. Knowledge of DVSA standards and vehicle compliance requirements. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Full UK driving licence (HGV licence desirable but not essential). Good communication and organisational skills. Monday through Friday 08:00 to 17:00, with a 30-minute lunch deducted. Brings the basic week in at 42.5 hours. Overtime available as and when needed, including Saturday mornings on mutual agreement. We pay hourly. Depending on experience and post, a 12-week probation; £23.00ph. Flat rate for all hours worked. Overtime is at the same hourly rate
