Role & What You Will Be Doing

We are looking for an Undergraduate Industrial Placement Analytical Scientist to make an impact through the following responsibilities:

  • Perform analyses related to clinical supplies, formulation development, stability and process scale up using a variety of analytical techniques.
  • Process data and report to team.
  • Interpret test results and contribute to team discussions with formulation and device development teams.
  • Maintain relevant documentation according to cGMP documentation practices.
  • Troubleshoot instrumentation and investigate aberrant sample results.
  • Adhere to all applicable policies and procedures, including those relating to EHS, GMP, GCP, Quality and Compliance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned consistent with the grade of the role.

Qualifications

  • A-level or equivalent qualifications in science subjects.
  • Working towards a relevant MSc or BSc degree.
  • Foundation skills in analytical chemistry.
  • Good understanding of modern laboratory techniques, including HPLC.
  • Some practical experience would be helpful.
  • Ability to work autonomously and familiar with basic calculations in Analytical Chemistry.
  • Ability to work flexibly across multidisciplinary lines and within a team environment.
  • Organises tasks allocated by supervisor and plans own work to achieve high quality results in a timely manner.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
