We are looking for a Business Development Representative (BDR) whose mission is to get hands-on with the lab automation community - educating them on the next generation of technology in this space and helping connect them with our Sales and Pre-Sales team to turn ideas into automation.

In this role you will be responsible for:
- Engaging with the community of Automation Specialists, at events and meet-ups, becoming the face of Automata in these spaces building trust through targeted outreach to potential customers, providing the right information at the right time, and converting that into opportunities for the Sales & Pre-Sales team to follow up with.
- Working closely with the Sales team to identify key decision makers at high value accounts - and jointly prospecting the accounts.
- Working in tandem with the Marketing team to identify high-intent leads - and converting these into opportunities.
What it takes:
- Demonstrable experience of working in a customer-facing role.
- Great written and verbal communication skills.
- You are resilient and understand that business development means getting more no's than you do yes's; you keep going when the going is tough.
- You understand tech, and communicate complex products confidently.
- You're a team player, but happy working hybrid/remote.
- Time zone - EDT/EST.
Nice to haves:
- 1+ years of BDR experience.
- Based in, or near, Boston.
- Scientific Background - College Degree.
