What You’ll Be Working On

As a Java Software Engineer, you’ll play an important role in designing and delivering bespoke technology solutions.

You'll be involved in:

• Designing and developing robust, scalable software applications using Java.
• Solving technically challenging problems where performance, reliability and quality really matter.
• Taking ownership of projects throughout the entire software development lifecycle.
• Working closely with business stakeholders to turn complex requirements into elegant technical solutions.
• Influencing architecture, engineering decisions and technical direction.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for engineers who are technically excellent, naturally curious and genuinely enjoy solving difficult problems.

• 4+ years of commercial software engineering experience, with strong Java expertise.
• First-Class Honours degree in Computer Science from a Russell Group university.
• Exceptional problem-solving ability and strong computer science fundamentals.
• Experience designing and building high-quality software solutions.
• A solid understanding of software architecture, algorithms, data structures and engineering best practices.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders.
• A genuine passion for technology and a desire to continuously improve.
• Exposure to financial services, investment management or complex enterprise systems.
• Experience taking technical ownership of projects from conception to delivery.

You don’t need financial services experience. We’re far more interested in your engineering ability, intellectual curiosity and potential.
