Company Description

10 Design shapes spaces at every scale, from individual buildings to entire cityscapes. Our work spans master planning, mixed-use developments, retail, hospitality, residential, research and science facilities, as well as civic and cultural projects. We take pride in creating designs that inspire, engage and respond thoughtfully to the unique character of the communities we serve. 10 Design is part of the 10N Collective of urbanism, architecture and related design experts, headquartered in Edinburgh and working from 20 studios across five continents. There is strong collaboration between the practices within 10N, providing unique opportunities for our staff.

As part of our team, you will contribute to a broad range of UK and international projects, from large-scale masterplans to individual buildings, within a creative and collaborative studio. Experience working in a design-led practice on UK or international projects is required, and work on projects in the Middle East would be an advantage for some of the vacancies. We work mainly on larger-scale projects, but if you have comprehensive experience delivering smaller schemes to a high standard, we would be delighted to hear from you – the quality of your skills and experience is more important to us than the scale of projects you have worked on. Experience of Technical Design and Construction work stages will also be an advantage for several of the vacancies. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.

Job Description

  • Outstanding design skills – at any or all work stages.
  • Good communication and presentation skills – both verbal and graphical.
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
  • Experience working in a design-led architectural practice.

Qualifications

Requirements for Part II roles
  • RIBA Part II qualification or international equivalent.
  • Proficiency in Rhino, Photoshop and InDesign.
Requirements for Architect roles
  • ARB registration or international equivalent.
  • Proficiency in Rhino, Photoshop and InDesign.
  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
Additional skills and experience

The following are not requirements but will be very beneficial for your application:

  • Hand drawing /sketching for design development and communicating ideas.
  • Presentation standard hand drawing.
  • Advanced skills in Rhino or Revit.
  • Experience on projects in the Middle East, especially Dubai and Saudi Arabia, at any scale or design stages.
  • Experience of RIBA Stages 4 and 5 in the UK, or international equivalents.
