Location and flexible working: Edinburgh. All our roles are open to part-time, job-share and other types of flexibility. We will discuss what is important to you and balancing this with business requirements during the recruitment process.

The role: The Strategic Supplier Management team is responsible for the management of c.£100m of spend across a varied supplier base, supporting Retirement Solutions and Asset Management and wider Group functions in delivering strategy and customer outcomes.
You will be responsible for the commercial management, governance and optimisation of market data services across the organisation, acting as the central point of expertise for market data suppliers, contracts, licensing and usage controls, ensuring that business areas have access to the data they need whilst delivering value for money, managing risk and maintaining compliance with contractual obligations.
You will lead the governance, commercial management and optimisation of market data services along with overseeing market data inventory, licensing, supplier relationships and usage controls, ensuring compliance and value for money. Working closely with Investment teams, Finance, Procurement, Change and key third-party suppliers, you will drive effective supplier relationships, challenge demand, identify optimisation opportunities and support strategic initiatives across the market data landscape. You will also drive continuous improvement by enhancing governance, identifying efficiencies, monitoring market developments and helping shape the future market data strategy and operating model.

- A strong commercial awareness with excellent stakeholder management skills and a practical understanding of market data services.
- Be comfortable operating in a complex environment, balancing commercial, operational and regulatory considerations whilst building strong relationships across multiple business areas.
- Experience managing market data suppliers, vendor relationships, contracts and licensing agreements.

- Budget management, spend analysis, financial reporting and cost optimisation experience.
