We are seeking an experienced Energy Trading Business Analyst with proven knowledge and experience in the Energy Trading arena, ideally in Gas and Power trading. Experience in LNG Trading would also be of interest. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of complex business issues and the ability to specify IT solutions, along with a continuous improvement mindset and a background in data.
Responsibilities
- Utilise knowledge and experience in the Energy Trading arena, specifically in Gas and Power trading, with LNG Trading also considered.
- Leverage previous experience in electronic trading, real-time position monitoring, and PNL reconciliation.
- Demonstrate business analysis experience in a trading environment, preferably within an energy or commodity trading company or consultancy, with a European or global perspective.
- Specify and write user specifications and business requirements for algorithmic trading and/or quant development teams.
- Use requirement elicitation techniques such as facilitating workshops, conducting interviews, prototyping, and document analysis.
- Work with iterative development methodologies like Agile.
- Coordinate complex projects and initiatives effectively.
- Deliver energy trading or energy supplier software successfully.
Essential Skills
- Proven knowledge and experience in the Energy Trading arena, ideally Gas and Power trading.
- Experience in LNG Trading is a plus.
